Anthropological Excursion (Temple Tour)

This is a full-day tour of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Angkor complex.

The day begins at 6 a.m., when the guides will pick up participants at the Royal Angkor Resort and Spa and proceed in air-conditioned vans to the Angkor entry gate to obtain photo I.D.s.  (The early morning start is to avoid the very long lines that will queue beginning at 7 a.m.) Participants will return to the Royal Angkor, where they can enjoy the hotel’s buffet breakfast (complementary for guests of the hotel) or dine at a nearby location.

After breakfast, the tour will proceed to Angkor Thom, the ancient royal city, which encompasses several monuments of interest, including the Baphuon, Bayon, Phimean Akas, and Ta Prohm Temples and the Terrace of the Elephants.

Guests will return to town for a buffet lunch.

After lunch, participants will have a full afternoon to explore the magnificent and inspiring Angkor Wat, the oldest and largest religious complex in the world and one of the 7 Wonders of the World.

Vans will return guests to the Royal Angkor on/around 5 pm in the evening.

Anthropological Excursion (City Tour)

Following a hotel pick-up at 9 am from Siem Reap City area hotel, your first stop will be Angkor Silk Farm. 

Next, you head to Artisans Angkor. Artisans Angkor has become a real showcase of Khmer craftsmanship for its silk fabrics and garments, stone and wood carving, lacquer ware, ceramics, silver-plated copperware, silk painting, and jewelry.

You will visit Cambodian Cultural Village. The Cambodian Cultural Village is an amusement park in Siem Reap, where you can learn more about the Cambodian culture.

Next up, you visit War Museum Cambodia. Visit this sightseeing spot to get a better insight into the history of the region.

Continue to Wat Thmey (Killing Fields). At the pagoda Wat Thmey in Siem Reap you will find a small memorial stupa which contains the skulls and bones of victims killed during the regime of the Khmer Rouge during 1975–1979.

After lunch at your own cost you will proceed to visit Psar Chaa – Old Market.

Next you will visit Wat Bo Temple. Wat Bo is one of the oldest pagodas in Siem Reap, Cambodia and has a number of well-preserved wall paintings from the 19th century. 

Vans will return guests to the Royal Angkor on/around 5 pm in the evening.

Anthropological Excursion (Mountain Tour)

Leave your hotel at 8:00 am with your private professional English speaking tour guide heading north-east of Siem Reap to natural national park, Phnom Kulen, Siem Reap, Cambodia. Phnom Kulen or Kulen Mountain is well-known for its super cold water and a massive reclining Buddha statue. While you are in air-conditioned vehicle, take a look at the beautiful and peaceful countryside, villages and green rice fields. En route, stop to see the how people make palm sugar and local product. Continue on the main road till we reach the mountain. On reach, take a visit to the Reclining Buddha statue carved out of a piece of sandstone in the 16th century after he defeated Siam from Siem Reap. Then back to Linga carvings on the riverbed carved in the reign of the Great Khmer Empire Founder, King Jayavaraman II (early 9th century). The Linga is a column-like or oval (egg-shaped) symbol of Shiva, the Formless All-pervasive Reality. Finally, enjoy swimming the super cold holy waterfall before having lunch and heading back to Siem Reap.

Vans will return guests to the Royal Angkor on/around 5 pm in the evening.
