Abstract

This paper investigates how Zimbabweans employed culture and local languages to navigate the complex nature of the Covid-19 global pandemic. The paper will focus on how culture(music, art) and local languages in Zimbabwe framed the language of transmission, mitigating measures linguistic terms, vaccines and vaccinations terminology in localizing the conversations surrounding the Covid-19 global pandemic in Zimbabwe and the world. Data collection will include interviews and documentary analysis including social media.
